    EW on 01/11/11

Badminton Wales are pleased to announce the launch of three new continuous professional development workshops for coaches, to help improve and develop coaching in badminton across Wales.

The three workshops are centred around:

    -  Performance Analysis

    -  Feeding

    -  Footwork

and are open to any coach wishing to extend their knowledge and skills to improve their coaching.

Eddie O’Neill, Chief Executive for Badminton Wales, commented: “It is essential for us to offer training opportunities for our coaches in Wales so that they can in turn provide effective feedback and practice opportunities for players at all levels and all environments. I hope that everyone will find these workshops both instructional and enjoyable.”

The first workshop to run, ‘Introduction to Performance Analysis’, will take place on Saturday 3rd December 2011, at Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff, from 10.00am to 1.00pm.
The workshop will run alongside the Welsh Open, and will provide coaches with the opportunity to have real match-play experience of analysing a player’s performance.

The first ‘Effective Feeding’ workshop will also take place on 3rd December 2011 at Sport Wales National Centre, from 2.00pm – 4.30pm and the first ‘Effective Footwork’ workshop will be held on Tuesday 7th February 2012, at Brackla Sports Centre, Bridgend.

The workshops will soon be available as part of the club incentives package.
