Monthly Tip - January 2013
The issue of grips seems to be problematical in badminton with all sorts of weird and wonderful ideas on how the racket should be held. What we can see on a regular basis are young players both not having good grips and understanding what appropriate grips are.
This must be a coaching issue … right ?????
“Kerry Ann Sheppard and I had this discussion on Wednesday night, and this came up about children not understanding the bevel grip, so in my opinion I think it would simplify things if we could call it the corner grip, (and yes I do know there four corners) but we need to help the children understand the different grips and make it easier for them.”
