Coaching Conference

Badminton Wales endeavours to run an annual Coaches Conference with outside speakers invited to talk about a range of coaching activities.

2013 Coaches Conference

The 2013 Coaches Conference was held at Deeside College on Sunday 16th June where 12 enthusiastic North Wales coaches enjoyed an active day. Top Scottish Coaches Diana Koleva and Julie Hogg spent the day on movement skills for young junior players. The coaches were “encouraged” to try out all of the exercises themselves and to involve themselves with the players who attended to help out.

The programme, which is very current in Scandanavia, is aimed at players aged 11-15 and how to get them ready for the age group 15 years + and also involves many new exercises to improve strength and injury prevention.
