6 Welsh players head for the Kharkov International this week and will be hoping to gain further good ranking points in Commonwealth Games qualification year.

Aimee Moran , Carissa Turner and Daniel Font play in the singles event with Font and Moran hoping to come through qualification and gain entry into the main draw. Turner is seeded 7 and meets a qualifier in her main draw first match. Turner and Thomas have a testing match against a strong Russian pair in a challenging ladies doubles event. Recent finalists in Bulgaria, Joe Morgan and Nic Strange could go far if they navigate their first match against a testing French pair and could get to play the Polish top seeds in the quarter finals. With Oliver Gwilt still recovering from a broken arm, Font pairs up with Sarah Thomas and will hope to work through qualification and into the main draw of the mixed event.
