As we enter 2014 time is marching on with qualification for the Commonwealth Games a big priority for Wales' top players. This month sees two important events which could see the players make big strides towards getting on the plane for Glasgow. This coming weekend the Estonia International takes place, whilst in 3 weeks’ time the Iceland International is held. Welsh players are seeded in both events and will know that getting to the latter stages in both will make a big difference to current rankings. With March a key month in terms of gauging qualification, all of the players will want to make an impact after a tough 2013.
Players looking to do well are:
Nic Strange / Joe Morgan / Carissa Turner / Sarah Thomas / Daniel Font/ Aimee Moran
Font's partner Oliver Gwilt has now recovered from the broken arm he sustained last year and will also be looking to get back to competition play this month.
We wish all of the players well.
