Before the mixed matches commenced Cardiff Uni had a slight lead however they put on a confident display in the mixed, claiming all 3 matches.
Nic Strange (Cardiff Met student and Cardiff Uni Women's Badminton Coach) commented,
"Having this event is great preparation for both universities in light of the upcoming British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Individuals which feature later on in the week. Cardiff Met performed well against the Cardiff Uni teams which are both in the Premier Divisions.
The atmosphere and friendships shown by both universities is testament to sport bringing people together. I know that both teams will be cheering each other on in the BUCs championships, although if they play against each other I am sure they will be super competitive.
Thanks to all who took part; I am proud to be associated with both universities.”
